Fall Final

Background
For my final project, I chose a piece called "Abstraction White Rose" by Georgia O'Keeffe. This painting was made in 1927 and resides at the Georgia O'keefe museum in New Mexico.
Planning
For my final, I had minimal planning and mostly went with the flow of what felt right. I planned first to round a piece of clay into a smooth stone-like shape. After that, I planned to make a rose-like design by using just my hands and fingers, no tools. Then I planned to hollow out the bottom, and finally I planned what colors I would use to paint it.
Reflection
Overall, I'm pretty happy with how my piece turned out. In the future, I would sketch out my design first to get a better idea and plan of what I'm making. I would also plan where I would place the colors because it's a hassle to repaint your piece once it already has underglaze on it. Additionally, next time I would start earlier so that my piece could get through 2 firings before it's due.
